Slipped in your fiberglass shower or dropped a heavy shampoo bottle and, as a result, have a hole or crack in your tub? In most cases, it can be fixed, especially if you take care of it right away.
Continuous use of the tub, even with a small crack, may cause serious problems such as leaking, mold, or the need for tub replacement.
The first thing you have to do is identify the kind of damage—is it a hairline crack, a structural crack, or a hole? Based on that information, we can provide an accurate estimate and the best solution for your situation (in some cases, repair isn’t the best option, and replacement would be the right solution).
How do we go about the repair?
Let’s say you have a four-inch crack on the bottom of your tub or shower. The first step is to determine if the cracked area needs support. If so, we inject closed-cell foam, which provides a strong base. After that, we seal the crack with fiberglass cloth.
Depending on your budget and the type of tub, we can do a local touch-up or full reglazing. We provide fiberglass and acrylic repairs in Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties.
