When considering tub reglazing or shower refinishing, it’s crucial to set the right expectations for the restoration process. Reglazing is a highly effective way to restore and revitalize your bathtub or shower.

What is reglazing?

Reglazing is a comprehensive restoration process that involves:

  1. Preparation: Repairing chips, cracks, and holes in the existing surface.

  2. Application: Spraying a new, durable, and long-lasting coating over the prepared surface.

Environmental considerations and dust

We acknowledge that the bathroom is not an ideal environment for professional spraying due to ambient factors like dust on walls, ceilings, and potential flaking paint. However, we take extensive measures to minimize the environmental impact:

  • We set up an exhausting blower to ventilate the area.

  • We meticulously cover the floor and remove dust from surrounding surfaces.

Understanding surface dust

Due to the nature of on-site work, it is impossible to achieve a 100% dust-free environment. Therefore, all newly refinished surfaces will have minor surface dust and particles that have settled into the new coating.

DO NOT BE ALARMED. This is normal and unavoidable outside of a factory setting.

Post-reglazing care

  • Removal of particles: Normal use and regular, gentle cleaning will naturally remove all minor surface dust marks and particles within a few weeks.

  • Important warning: DO NOT TRY REMOVING ANY PARTICLES BY PICKING AT THEM. Doing so can damage the new coating.
