Although the finish is very durable, please see the following, especially for our customers right here in Orange County:
Please do not use the surface for a full 8 Hours. All newly refinished surfaces will have surface dust, which will have settled into the new surface. There is no way to prevent this, as we are not working in a 100 percent dust-free environment. DO NOT BE ALARMED, normal use and regular cleaning will remove all minor surface dust marks and particles within a few weeks. DO NOT TRY REMOVING ANY PARTICLES BY PICKING AT THEM.
After your bathtub has been reglazed, it needs special care to last longer. These tips will help you maintain it in good condition for a long time, whether you’re in Placentia, Los Alamitos, Lake Forest, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, or anywhere else in the area:
- Do not scrub clean your newly refinished tub for at least one week. Even though the coating is dry enough to use after 8 hours, it is still curing (hardening) for a week after.
- Clean your bathtub every 2 weeks. While taking a shower, a person washes sebum/oil and dead skin cells off the body. They settle and form yellow oily stains. We recommend these non-abrasive cleaners: Lysol Tub & Tile Cleaner, Fantastic, Dow Bathroom Cleaner, Simple Green, Scrubbing Bubbles.
- DON’T USE TILEX! DO NOT USE Bleach! DO NOT USE CLR either.
- Don’t use abrasive scrubbing pads, such as Scotch-Brite, or any similar scratch pad. Clean the surface with a sponge or a cloth.
- Don’t use shampoos in glass bottles. They can break when falling down and hurt you. Indeed, the glass can scratch the paint, and it may become the reason causing the layer to peel off.
- Don’t wash your pets in the bathtub. The pet’s shampoos contain active chemicals that can damage new paint. Your pets can also scratch the paint with their claws.
- Ventilate your bathroom. It will prevent mold from growing on the walls. If you have a window, keep it opened to speed up drying. If you don’t have a window, then keep the ventilation or a fan on for > 30 minutes after taking a shower.
- Destruction of the surface may occur by using acid compounds such as drain openers or tile grout cleaners. All harsh chemicals should be kept away, including hair dyes, nail polish removers, and perfumes.
- Rust from shaving foam cans may stain the surface.
- The owner must maintain caulking.
- Make sure the caulk you use is water soluble (LATEX). No Silicone types unless you are very good with it. These are solvent-based and very difficult to work with and won’t clean off with water. Don’t use clear. Use a bathroom caulk that is designed to resist mold.
- Damage may occur to any refinished surface when exposed to extreme heat. Please keep hot objects away from the reglazed item.
- Do not use any bath mats with suction cups. We are not responsible for any accidents that may occur.
- IF YOU WANT TO USE A BATHMAT, PLEASE USE ONE MADE FOR A REFINISHED TUB. YOU CAN GET ONE ON AMAZON.
Warranty WARRANTY PERIOD: (3) THREE YEARS. Adamov Reglazing LLC warrants reglazed tubs against the failure of adhesion of the primer or finish coat to the original consumer during normal residential use (peeling, not chipping). Chipping would be something caused by dropping something hard or sharp. Any scratching, deterioration of the glossy finish, or staining over time due to usage, cleaning practices, or water conditions will be considered normal wear and tear. We cannot prevent dust from settling onto the newly refinished surface, as we are not working in a 100% dust-free environment. Regular cleaning will remove or make the dust particles less noticeable. Tubs with corrosion or rust problems will be repaired to the best of our ability. It is impossible to cover against any future corrosion or rust problems that may occur.
- Damage caused by direct impact from an object that caused the surface to chip or crack, either accidentally or intentionally, is subject to a repair charge.
- Damage caused by continuous wetness from leaking or dripping plumbing is subject to a repair charge.
- Stains caused by hair dyes, chemicals, or rust are not covered by this warranty; any attempt to remove or repair would be subject to a repair charge.
